I think its a wonderful concept, but I don't think the technology is there yet.

That's why I'm working on going another alternative energy route. I'm sick of supporting OPEC (the White House & friends).

This is a proven technology that died out due to the convenience of gasoline. It does need some updating.

TKMAD, I'm with you. It takes alot of energy to split water molecules! Gas will have to reach $20 a gallon before this technology is even close!

By the way, anyone remember the 100mpg carb?

I am trying to wrap my head around this so tell me if this is not right. The way I understand this, HHO is used in conjunction with gas. The motor doesn't actually run on water. The HHO is injected at a fixed rate, unlike gas which can be pumped into the carb to make you go faster. Kind of like propane in a deisel engine. The energy it takes to make the HHO comes from the battery which is recharged by the altenator. The HHO cannot be pumped in like gas because you can't store it like gasoline and don't have a fuel pump to move it. So that is why engines can idle on the stuff, but can't accelerate.


I am just kinda typing this stuff out so I can understand it a little, if I am wrong please correct me.

I see some guys are playing around with actelene(?) generators. Throw a chunk of carbide in some water and there ya go. From what I see, carbide is still fairly cheap. Whichever way, there are too many people working on this for it not to end up on the web for all to see. They can't kill everyone that comes up with a process. Or maybe they can.

Tell me more about carbide in water. I have chunks of carbide from our worn our rock drill bits laying all over the place. I have been looking for something to do with them.

ok i have a stupid idea..the problem is you cannot rev the motor if with straight hydrogen, because there's no way to regulate he flow. now im no electrician so bear with me, is there some sort of switch you could mount to the throttle cable that at idle would send low amounts of current to the generator, so it makes less HHO, but when you step on the gas it send to optimal amount of current, thus making a larger amount of HHO?

wouldn't pressure == more H going into the carb? so if the H coming off of the generator is at 0psi, it's like having a liquid on a flat surface.

so wouldn't it make sense to find a way to store the H in a tank and release it as the gas pedal is pressed?

Some guys use a PWM (pulse width modulator) to control the amount of HHO produced by modulating the current powering the cell. The PWM signal is taken off your throttle position sensor.

It's not absolutely necessary because the HHO gas doesn't itself power the vehicle unless you have designed a kit/engine combo to specifically do that. The kits we're thinking about only augment the efficiency of the combustion of the gasoline. The gasoline is still the fuel the powers the vehicle. The HHO only increases combustion efficiency by mixing with the air/fuel and making it more volatile.

To run your vehicle strictly off of HHO, you would need to rebuild your engine using hardened valve seats, hardened valves, chrome lined cylinders, etc.

I've been looking into this myself, and I found a web-site like this one that is completely dedicated to people that have the systems on their vehicles. I've got a friend that has two mason jars with water in them, and hooked into the air inlet on a v6 front wheel drive. He was getting 26 mpg and now is getting around 32. Definately helps on gas money. He made the stuff for around ten dollars or so. Definately worth it if you do alot of driving.

68 short step, do you have pics or the plans and material list to build one? Also did it GREATLY improve your gas mileage like these sites claim?
