I'm super interested in adapting your rear frame section into my dually project. I'll be stalking your posts for a while looking for the frame buildup.

Right off the bat, any idea on the total width of each back tire?
Rear diff donor choice, and how wide it is after being narrowed?

Sweet truck BTW.

Very nice! I love it!
Where did you get your hood from? Unlimited Performance Products or US Body Source?
I cant tell.... Is that an 10 point roll cage?
Got more pictures?

I dont have any more pics,I had them on a disc and cant find it.The hood on there now was from unlimited products,I bought the first one from U S bodysource and it was a total mess,I was out around $550 when I finally got it.Unlimited was not much better, it took a lot of prep work to get it to look as good as it did.You would figure paying $600 for a hood prep work would be minimal. It was definitely not a harwood or glasstek.Thanks.

Yep, Mine is in bad shape and is going to need allot of work to make it look good. It makes me sick every time I look at it. It's a 6" Unlimited Performance Products $600 Special. The way you see it in the pictures is the way it came. The only thing I done to it it was to put it on, put the latch in and cut holes for the park lights. The body man will have to fix it. I'm not going to attempt on touching fiberglass work. Never messed with it and don't wanna try either. I contacted Harwood about making hoods for us 60-66 fellas so maybe they will consider making it. I would think it would be a demand at least for the guys on here on the forum. Never heard of glasstek, but seen Harwoods cowl hoods and they are top notch! They are Gel Coated
Yea, it looked like it was a homemade roll cage. Very nice.
So what was the setup in the rear and the front?
Didn't know if you meant Ford 9" or Fab9 rear set up.
If you meant Fab9 then I know it was a bad mamma jamma setup.
I have seen Chris Alston's Chassisworks rear ends.
http://cachassisworks.com

I have seen this setup on a few rides and even drag cars and they are pretty cool setups.

Re: ((Post your 60-66 Pro/Street or Drag Trucks))

It was actually a copetition engineering fabricated housing,it looked like the fab 9,also had ladder bars and coil overs all around and an anti roll bar. That was my first cage, it was mild steel.I never saw a cage that I thought fit very well so I bought the tools and built my own.The hood ordeal was one of the worst experiences i have had,but you live and learn,if I ever want onather cowl hood I will buy a steel scoop and install on a factory hood.Glasstek and vfn make good fiberglass parts but nothing for our trucks that I know of.

Sounds good Bud. Bet is was fun to drive and hoot to chirp tires in!
Yep the hood was a learning experience as well.
Wish now I kept my original steel hood and welded a 6" Cowl Scoop in it.
Later bud!

I feel ya on the hood situation. You would think after $700 the hood would be top notch. Well its NOT! Mine is wavy. Gonna take alot of blocking to get it to lay down right.
