Re: explanation of screen names
At one point I had 5 '68 to '72's at one time. Now it's down to 2 '71's and a '70 Camaro. Made the wife real happy.

Re: explanation of screen names
Two reasons:
1. It is the name of our current boat. 2. Boat got name from converting from gas to diesel engines, as in why are there so many..... I tend to think son and hubby have a few at times, also.

Re: explanation of screen names
Mine was from my other teenage obsession - Bodysurfing. My most respected surf spot is a place called the WEDGE, in Newport Beach, CA. The south facing beach and west facing jetty, during the right conditions double pumps the waves to HUGE heights. I've ridden it only on 2 different occasions. But, I'm danged proud of them. Place kills!
Wedge "Man" was taken. - Dave

Re: explanation of screen names
I got my name from apprentiship school. Me and 3 other guys became close friends during our time at school and we all ended up with nicknames...
Byrd, some say I favor Larry bird.. and from dumb and dumber, byrd,yeah,ing,sema....ect Bro Fuqua(foo qwa)-- movie he saw and liked the name... Nakajima, my bro in law, big golfer and his name is Tommy and there used to be a golfer named Tommy Nakajima on the pro tour.. and last was Gump... His name is Jimmy, but we called him gump, because yep you guessed it he was not that bright LOL

Re: explanation of screen names
I used to be Joemama on other sites, but people thought I was a girl, I'm not, by the way, but it was meant to be like "your momma"
Fast forward to now. There was a "song" by the Beastie Boys, Sabotage and one of the characters was Cochese. Since I am not a big reading comprehension kind of guy, I spelled it Cochise. By the time I figured it out, I had the name for quite a while, so I kept it. My wife is named Dostehseh, look it up. When you look it up remember, my wife is MUCH prettier. Re: explanation of screen names
I wish I read this before I joined....nothing special about my ID....first initial, middle initial, last name without a K....
Thinking about re-branding myself as "Geoff with a G"

Re: explanation of screen names
I used to do impersonations of Darryl Hannah when he would impersonate Sean Connery on "Celebrity Jeopardy" on Saturday Night Live.
