Re: 70 gmc
I cant wait to see it back together, Thinking of doing a 144/174 or a procharger type. The 144/174 is cheaper and easier so may throw some smaller slugs in mine in a year or two. Hope it comes out good man.

Re: 70 gmc
Alright guys the big brown truck is scheduled to come all week. Today i got my flywheel balancer and valve springs. Tomorrow i am suppose to recieve my bottom end kit, the off to the machine shop to get balanced. Thursday The heads are suppose to be here. Then friday I am suppose to recieve my headers from joker off this site. Ill keep ya posted and post pics as things arrive.
The cam was suppose to be here today along with my blower pulley (gonna throw a little more boost at it) but they are on backorder untill the 28th. Progress none the less tho, im pumped. |

Re: 70 gmc
mm mm mmmmm, polished and chamfered! Looks sweet!
So you're running a flat top piston? Is that because you're throwing more boost at it? |

Re: 70 gmc
Ya this is gonna put me at 8.9 to 1 to 9.1 to 1 CR depending on which head gasket i order, still up in the air on that. Im excited to see it run again, i dont know how people do these 4 to 5 year builds, I need to sit in the driver seat and drive. thats why i did my paint last summer than tore it apart for the motor over the winter. The way its shaping up i hope to be stabbing the motor over my spring break from school which will be mid march.
Thanks for the comments guys, it keeps me pluggin away, |
