Re: Olive Green truck Picture's
Hey doodah man, I know this is an ancient post but I love the look of your tires in this pic. Any chance you're still running with these tires and can give me the make and size?
Thanks.

Re: Olive Green truck Picture's
Hey guys, I know this thread is a little old, but could someone take a look at post #68, fourth pic, (swb fleet with a peep mirror) and tell me what shade of green that is? I have a 69 GMC that I'm building back as a 68 Chevy. All I have of the original truck is the cab and frame. I discovered the original color was Turqouise during the tear down phase. It had been repainted years ago some shade of blue. I would really like to use Turqouise since I haven't seen a lot painted that color. From what I am told it was a 69 only, GMC only color. I have no idea if thats true or not, I just know I haven't seen a lot that color. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks! Danny |

Re: Olive Green truck Picture's
That picture was taken at a show in 09 by the poster. So it is unlikely you will get a direct answer. That paint as far as I can tell is not a stock 67-72 color. The 69 511 turquiose poly is a nice GMC color. Here is a 69 color chart and a 511 motorhome.

Re: Olive Green truck Picture's
Thanks Tim. Thats kind of what I was expecting. I wish I could find a nice picture of one in TBP. I hate to go through the expense of all the trimming only to wish I'd went with the light green instead. Theres just not enough left of the original color on mine to base the decision on. About the only decent original paint is on the inside of the glove box door. I think the TBP with a white top would be nice, especially with body color steelies.
Thanks again and have a Blessed Easter!! Danny |

Re: Olive Green truck Picture's
My dad bought a 72 c10 custom deluxe lwb fleet new in 72. It was dark ilive with a white top and no upper or lower side trim. I dont think i have ever seen one like it. Does anyone have a photo of one like it? On a similar note, my brother had a light blue with white to 72 c10 custom lwb fleet with lower trim only and a 72 custom that was pale yellow with no upler or lower trim (?). Oldest brother had a 72 c10 custom swb step that was black with a white top. Never saw other trucks like those either (?)
