Re: jimmy build
I'm pretty good about steering around the garbage on pirate and find the tech to rocking good. Will be watching your build.

Re: jimmy build
I really need to do this to my K5 - just to get it one color and protect some areas from surface rust. Looking good.

Re: jimmy build
so after 3 weeks of daily driving im glad to say its doing great. i live in sort of a hippy hown so the way it makes them cringe is a success in itself!
there a a few small issues that have surfaced... 1. a couple of weeks ago i painted the dash and some interior peices... went to take off the headlight switch to take the gauge cluster off and unplugged it by mistake...plugged it back in after i was done painting and now it wont work. my tail lights work find, and the amber lights on the grill work too...but not the head lights. i read that it could be the dimmer switch on the floorboard...and other possibilities. i havent had a chance to check it yet but i wanna see if there are any other options 2. the tcase has started to act up. i dont have the front drive shaft on yet (still need to re-gear or find a d60) and im almost positive i have the case in 2wd (np205 tcase) but for some odd reason the front output still spins, and its causing a vibration. ive tried every possible shifter position and no luck. when i put it in 2wd, i can spin the output with my hand but when i drive it spins...any ideas? and lastly, the gas gauge....it doesnt work. i noticed that the brown wire was unplugged so i plugged it in and it went from a 3 o clock position to a 1/4 tank and now it just sits there...even when i put gas in. could it be a ground or the sending unit? any help would be great! and now for pictures! sitting at my work the interior Last edited by 70 beast; 06-11-2011 at 05:42 PM. |

Re: jimmy build
Very nice work! Did you put a custom bumper on the front or did you leave off the bumper & chrome the front piece?

Re: jimmy build

Re: jimmy build
fixed the lights yesterday afternoon.
simple $10 dimmer switch...worked like a charm. tried to figure out the tank...no luck there. does anyone have a picture of what the sending unit area on the gas tank? i cant see up there so im basically feeling around like a blind person. i have a feeling its the sending unit itself but i wanna try all the small simple things before i go a spend $60-$100 on a new sending unit |

Re: jimmy build
NoThing big. Just driving it around and enjoying it. Had to replace the power steering pump the other day but other than that everythings holding up great. Tryng to locate some gears on the cheep, got the bbc put away till spring and focusing on my 91 s10 sas.
Anyone have any experience with putting rodeo/passport 4.56's out of there d44 into a chevy d44??? Ive heard that the only issue might be the pinion bearing diffrence. Posted via Mobile Device |
