Re: I get screwed? 70 CST/10 400, Short Fleet?

i noted the 396 when you posted the pics the first time, like i said, i dont think gm differentiated between 402 and 396 on the spid.

hell you probably saw me drive my old orange beater 71 shorty. i grew up in vacaville and moved out last nov.

odds are that your truck is probly 1 of a 1000 or less ever made.

cst, tilt, tach, swb+bbc, wood bed floor....

about the only thing i dont see is factory a/c and the vacume guage.

it sure is pimp to have a 115" bbc spid sheet.

Vacuum gauge was not originally available on our trucks. They came in C/40- up big trucks.

Cool truck! Dark Gold is a weird color. It would probably look good when fresh (or polished up real good) It would be different, its one you dont see very often. I just had a long bed that same color with black interior. If your upper radiator hose is GM could you give me the part number that is stamped on it. Thanks!

Hate to say it, but it had to have modified at some point. These never came with map pockets, what are you referring to? Also what is slider mirrors? I don't know what that is, unless your calling a different type of mirror a slider.
The vac gauge was definitely not on 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton trucks. I'll met LHM's Burb on it....Ha HA

Re: I get screwed? 70 CST/10 400, Short Fleet?

the slider mirrors have a flat bar that the mirror mounted to, the mirror could be adjusted wider to beable to see around trailers, but the thing is there are no other holes in the door from other mirrors being removed.

the map pockets are a vinyl pouch on the kick panel or the door panel.

Judging by the pics of the Nova, your idea of ugly as far as the truck is concerned and my idea are probably way apart. My truck is ugly in the worst way, I'd bet your truck is not even in the ballpark.

The map pockets came on square body trucks, not found from the factory on ours. The slider mirrors are more than likely aftermarket. Maybe the original holes were filled and repainted at some point.

It's possible these options were dealer add ons. Back in the day dealers would add just about anything you could think of. I know now days the dealers buy conversion trucks and add things like wheels/tires, dvd, stereos, etc.
