I'm lovin the shift knob! Can we get some details on the gauges? Also, on the push button start, where'd you get the button from?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNIVE...item5d283b9701 That would be the one i got, the top of it unscrews so all you have to do is cut the back of the chrome thing off and it fits right in,as for the wiring that's the ez part i put a kill switch so you can turn it off and a keyed master kill switch that you would have to find to get power to start the truck but next time i get out to play Ill get some shots of it for ya. thanks for all the nice words and yes a little paint and some rimes make the truck And for the dash I went to the parts store and you know the cheap 3 pack of gauges they sell (oil amp temp ) its like $25 they fit in the bottom o and i add a vac to fill it up the tack i had from one of the other cars i had and that fit the center one as for the seepdo and the fuel that was a ebay sticker kit. I gutted the whole thing and put led's in. I had to hot glue them in. hop this helps Last edited by mr mike; 03-10-2010 at 11:03 PM. |

Re: 1969 c10 the start of something fun
the truck is a weekend toy, but with the jeep springs its fine but with the jeep springs and the 2 1/2'' drop block if you get in the bed and jump it with hit as for the front all i did was cut 2 coils off and cut off the bump stops. I am going to bag the truck at some point. I have all the stuff but the bags and the cups.
Thanks for all the kind words |

Re: 1969 c10 the start of something fun
I got some work done on the truck to day, oil change, tryed to clean the egn bay up that was fun 41 years of dirt and old oil. I think I'll have to do it about 5 more times lol , Then i got bored and painted the exhaust tips red and patched the fire wall since i took out the heater, and put on a old chrome alternator I had laying around the shop, and put on my Chev emblem from the 2010 Chev camaro but don't know if i like it yet and that's it. I took some pic of the bush button starter from behind and some more of the dash some one wonted to see then better. ...... o and i just ordered some chrome 327 valve covers and some chrome headers...

Like the truck!
I would think about leaving the engine bay red, especially with the red exhaust tips and red seat. Just a thought...

X2! It's hard to tell from the pics, but if it's as clean as it looks, I'd leave it red...I actually thought you did that on purpose.

Re: 1969 c10 the start of something fun
OK got most of the wiring moved around but i have to get some flex-lum and some grommets to finish it. I decided to paint the hood all black and leave the fire wall red, I think that will make it pop or i might paint it chev orange because the block and intake are going to be orange. I got the rest of the cab inside done. I got the new door handles and window cranks and arm rest's on...
