Re: 76 Blazer build
I want to say that we started the body work in feb of 2009. My father in law and I would work on it heavily for about a month at a time and then take a few weeks or so off from working on it. The floors took the most time because we had to make parts that werent there. If I had to do it over again I would use full rear quarters instead of skins.

Re: 76 Blazer build
I just picked up some wheels yesterday for the blazer, 33x12.5x16.5 Interco Truxus M/Ts on recentered Hummer H1 beadlocks.

Re: 76 Blazer build

Re: 76 Blazer build
I am very jealous, a rust free blazer for 700! The nova was a basket case when my father in law got a hold of it. It is still numbers matching and in a lucky chance, the original copo wheels were in the trunk with the dog dished hub caps, wrapped in news paper that was dated the day after the car was purchased.

Re: 76 Blazer build
It's got a cop motor, a 440 cubic inch plant, it's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?
haha yeah it was his parts car for a duster he had.

Re: 76 Blazer build
Spudz, I still think you got a steal on the blazer. Look at the bright side, your nova will be worth quite a bit more than my blazer when its finished.

Re: 76 Blazer build
I have been looking for a dana 60 front axle for a while and stumbled onto someone elses project truck that they wanted to get rid of pretty bad. Its a 77 shortbox thats in really good shape, dana 60 front, freshly rebuilt 14 bolt rear, new 4 inch springs (front and rear) new ord rear 4inch shackle flip and hd front shackle, turbo 400/205, 40 in ground hawgs, and lots of extras. not too bad for 1200

The 60 and some other parts are going into the blazer, but now my wife is in love with it so it might be sticking around for a while

Re: 76 Blazer build
I now have a new problem, My wife is in love with this thing and wants it to be her truck. Her demands: 350, 4 speed, and she has to be able to get into it. the truck now has 4 inch springs and 4 inch shackles, so I was thinking about just using the springs and putting stock shackles in and running 33's. The 60 will still go into the blazer and my 10 bolt will get put into this truck. So now it looks like I'm in the middle of 2 projects and she wants this one done first.
