You're right, and I'm not one to talk since the primer on the turd that I drive is unpolishable...

Re: My 64 goes to Lowboy for a back half
How far into the frame was the front crossmember sectioned? I'm trying to figure out how i'm going to lay frame in the front. By the way, your truck is inspiring!

When I got the truck it had been lifted into the frame about an inch and ahalf. Which wasnt low enough. I then pie cutt the upper spring perches and pulled another inch and a half. and raised the steering...which putts the steering wheel at a goofy angle. But it was cheap... Get the wheel tire combo you want, put the truck up in the air, and pull the springs so its laid out. measure...that will tell you. You can lift the crossmember or do the pie cutt thing or both. good luck.

Got the basic scallops on, bolted it all back together and started to clean everything up. Hicuppicup (Rob) cam over and worked his ass off showing us how to put windows in....yes the rear is a bear! Big thanks to Rob for sharing his time, knowledge and hard work. Joel has really out done himself on the truck...I am very happy with it. All thats left is the white stripping the scallops, the bed, and the interior...oh and putting refrigerant in the ac unit. and the grill and the...... Here is more pics..

Re: My 64 goes to Lowboy for a back half
Cool, thanks for your help. I have a 95 front clip w/ spindles and drop spings that i was thinking about putting in my truck but I really like the stock suspension dragging frame (I'm old skool too; stock components, flat paint, wide whites)
