Thanks man, it has been a learning experience with this ls motor. It is going to be worth it in the long run. I am now looking for a shorty style header to fit it. Nathan gave me some numbers for the long tube version, i like the look of the shorty headers better. Once again thanks. I was on the fence about the body drop, my frame is already powdercoated so it will have to wait till the next one. lol

Not planning on painting the motor. I will detail the acc. on the motor and clean it up a little more. The floor in the cab is pretty rotten and PO tried to repair it and failed, poorly failed that is. So I am going to install the porterbuilt firewall kit, hinges, and floor all in one shot. It should be interesting. I am really not a sheetmetal type of guy, but i have honestly ran out of money. LOL So here it goes. I plan on driving the hell out of this thing. I have had trailer queens in the past, never again. I want a driver that i dont have to spend the entire day cleaning to justify having it. Kinda want to have the same as a new truck that you dont have to detail all the time. Pop the hood, rinse and call it a day.

gotcha, just wanna see one that is finished and where you are gonna be on price. At this point in the build I am really tired of fabbing everything. I want something that bolts in. Ha Ha

I will use the porterbuilt hinges. It seems like a nice piece that was well built, like always.

looks good man! The pb hinges work good, get the struts too so you don't have to use a prop rod to hold the hood up.

The wheels are from Wheel Vintiques. I do not remember the backspacing on the wheels but they are 8 in the front and 9.5 in the rear. I have the 5 lug version on mine. The truck is a 72 with a 68 nose on it.

well not exactly, i have access to a lot of different materials and i actually had some solid round stock the exact dia. of the slam bag at its base. i cut two 1" thick spacers in my saw and put the holes in them with my mill. you have to look real close to even see them, they look pretty trick.

how thick do you need the spacer? i originally made them 2.5" thick and cut one down to make two of them at 1". i think i still have the other 2.5" thick one. i could possibly cut it down for you. I don't know if all the bags have the same bolt pattern, mine are slam re7s and that is what they are drilled for. maybe i can help a brother out!!

Got the rack adapters and hoses installed. Turned out nice as long as i do not have any clearance issues.

I did run into a snag on the drivers side motor mount. I went with a different style coupler for the steering and will have to clearance it. I already got nate on the case.
