Re: VA72C10 Longbed Patina'd Driver
This looks great Jonathan! Love the patina as well. I am almost tempted to just put mine back together as it is . But I will keep my eye out for a good shop truck like this as well! Keep it up!

Re: VA72C10 Longbed Patina'd Driver
Great looking project Jonathon! Glad I ran across this one in your sig. I see these all the time on Craigs, not nearly as nice as yours of course. But, it gets my gears turning every time. I love the 80s models too. I just can't pull the trigger on another project. Hope you don't decide to flip this one too. Subscribed

I will have some updates on this truck soon.....but someone else is working on it You guys remember Jason of Pop's Chop Shop? ....the one who helped me shave my 70 longbed cab and is helping with my blazer? Welllllllll......he has been looking for a truck like this.....and now.....it's his. New bench seat on the way. Has already installed an alt and battery I had, and installed some dropped A-arms and 3" drop springs I found to bring the front end down......pictures to follow soon...... He drives it daily and is going to take good care of it. I get cash to finish the blazer project, save a bunch on labor with the deal we worked out, and still get to tinker with this truck from time to time and I will continue to document the progress on here for you guys.....

Re: VA72C10 Longbed Patina'd Driver
It made your comment in my blazer thread even funnier to me At least the plan from the beginning has been to sell that one
I'll find another one like this...my wife actually didn't want me to sell it but I need to get the blazer finished before I miss out on the summer prime selling season so it made sense to sell it to Jason because I will be able to check out the progress on it. I guess you guys can tell I don't exactly get attached to my vehicles

The state of Virginia is going to force you to get a dealer's license before this year is over.

Re: VA72C10 Longbed Patina'd Driver
Today Jason took off the stock mirrors (now will go on my blazer as they are super nice originals) and put on the peep mirrors I bought for him off the board.

Wow nice work the truck looks great and you scored on the bench seat, looking forward to seeing interior pics. So you think you may be holding on to this one for a bit?

Re: VA72C10 Longbed Patina'd Driver
Jason got the subs and amp installed today (I gave him in exchange for work on the blazer) Sounds really nice. Box is hidden behind the bench though so no pics. He also swapped out the seat and installed the armrests I bought him. Will get better daylight pics but the interior is SWEEEET! New carpet is hopefully on its' way. Other than that it needs a new dash pad, steering wheel, and this thing will be AWESOME!
a little better lighting to show the true colors...

Re: VA72C10 Longbed Patina'd Driver
I really like the seat, Is that what they call hounds tooth? I also wanted to ask you how much performance difference you saw in your truck when you added the MSD ignition? Do you think they are worth the money? Thanks for any info you can give on this.

Re: VA72C10 Longbed Patina'd Driver
yes, the center areas are houndstooth. I bought the truck with the MSD so I'm not sure on performance. It used to have a blower so it's very low compression but still has good power. Will hopefully have a blower again some day
