Re: C20 lowered pictures
The reason I ask is I have a 1970 suburban c10 I just installed the 4inch HD by cpp in the rear an mine looks lower than yours in the rear now the front sits like an 1ich or inch an 1/2 taller. The guy at cpp told me to drop the front 3inchs an it should b close. I believe the c20 set taller than the c10 ? What size rims an tires are you running? The reason I as all this is cause I'm going to be towing my travel trailer it's about 3,000 lbs an I don't want to b to low

Re: C20 lowered pictures
Either run air shocks or air "helper" bags that go inside the coil springs when towing

Re: C20 lowered pictures
Anyone have a GMC or Chevy with heavy duty suspension lowered, 8 lug? I have a 72 GMC 2500 with leaf springs rear. Would love to find a simple kit without having to replace every part? Hate to sell her as she is in great shape

Re: C20 lowered pictures
Is this bolt on kit using stock suspension? No grinding or welding?

Re: C20 lowered pictures
Well I started this thread almost 5 years ago to try and figure out how low to go and then how to achieve that goal.
Here is the before pic. After replacing the coil springs and shocks. 2" front and 4" rear. I used 1/2 ton coil springs because I could not find a reasonable way to get 3/4 ton springs shipped into northern Canada. It rides great and drives wonderfully. And a front corner shot. I also ditched the hub caps and painted the wheels a flat green. The trim rings where always there but with the white shinny wheels and hubcaps they did not show up well.

Re: C20 lowered pictures
Here is mine, 2.5 drop spindles, and 4" drop coils. It has 265/75 16 up front and 235/85 16 in the rear just to get it rolling. Need to change out the rear studs to 9/16 and then decide on some wheels and tires...

Low mileage 454, TH400, 4.10 14bolt rear, power steering, hydroboost, oil cooler, trans cooler, etc. Put a Gennie shifter in so it looks like it still has a real transmission. I still have room to lower it some more, but those 32inch tall rear tires help calm down that rear gear. Original plan was to switch to regular front wheels/hubs, but I'm diggin those Budd wheels. |

I hear you, while it hasn't snowed yet, I parked my truck for the winter last week.
