Re: 1966 c50 soon to be a longbed

OK, this was only about 20 minutes, so don't judge me too hard. I just wanted to see what it would look like, I'm sure the bed dimensions are off, but I was going for looks. Wheels are 22.5 off a Dodge I found on google.

The bed didn't fit in the picture

Re: 1966 c50 soon to be a longbed

Jimmydean- I like your PhotoChop alot! I like the idea of carrying the running boards to the rear. The only thing is, somehow you have to replicate the front flare in the rear to make it look proportional. Might be tough with a stepside fender.

Re: 1966 c50 soon to be a longbed

I love the idea of the fleetside with a step fender for a dually. The wheels look hot, too. Stole 'em off some monster truck, might play with the sidewall to get a little lower.

I still want to play with it a bit more, but it looked so cool I wanted to share my progress.

I have a pair of NOS running boards 63-66 C50-C70. Was going to use them on the firetruck, but I sold it.

Re: 1966 c50 soon to be a longbed

Very cool new truck you got there Dino. I am having a hard time just thinking of what I would do with it if it were mine. The photoshops that JimmyDean is doing all look pretty killer, but I also like the idea of going even bigger with it. Hard to call really, but I know I want to be around to watch. Can't wait to see it all come together.

Very cool. I'd also like to see a 4x4 with alcoas, but that's because I'm a 4x4 kind of guy.

Re: 1966 c50 soon to be a longbed

ill try the burban rear ive been thinking of building an early 50s style cabover with a burban body and bagging it i think it would be a few different trucks all tied together but would be pretty cool idea, if you find any good reference pics in about the same positions that would be great
