Re: 69/72 Restoration/Rebuild (we ain't scared)
Wow. Hope you heal soon. At least it wasn't your neck or back. The truck will be there when you return. Subscribed.

At least you didn't break your collar bone or mess up your neck / back. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Re: 69/72 Restoration/Rebuild (we ain't scared)
I'm glad to see a rusty cab getting fixed instead of scrapped out and replaced. That leaves one more of these trucks for the future. Good work and glad that you will be back working on it soon.

Re: 69/72 Restoration/Rebuild (we ain't scared)
Nice work; I am now reading your thread for the first time. Your cab looks like mine does; I am swapping out a non-A/C cab for an A/C cab; too much work too be done, and the patch panels I need cost way too much! The work you are doing looks great.
What kind of paint are you using? Which type of electric fan did you end up choosing? I am going to have to make these same decisions at some point, so I would like to hear what you did. Sorry to hear about your wrist. Glad to hear you healed up well. |

Re: 69/72 Restoration/Rebuild (we ain't scared)
I had the 69 cab no A/C but firewall was rusted up bad. I bought a 72 Super Cab with a/c and still ended up shaving the firewall on it and the drip rail under the hood. I'm going to add after market a/c to it later on. I want it to have a nice smooth look welded up all the hole from molding to the cab line on the top of the cab pulled the windows out and weld all the crimp joints remove the rear cab light,, I have never took a project to this point!! always just stab a hoped up motor in something & go... This has been a long on going project that I've droped a bunch of CASH in Be glad to see it hit the road.

Re: 69/72 Restoration/Rebuild (we ain't scared)
Cant believe I didn't see this build before. I would have noticed a build so close to where I grew up in SC (Hardeeville). Subscribed and watching!

Re: 69/72 Restoration/Rebuild (we ain't scared)
Did you have that chrome dash custom made? If so, how much did it run you? I repainted mine but if I wanted to put new gauges in it I would need an aluminum plate custom cut for it to mount them.
