Hey the paint looks great. Tell us more about it. How did you do it and what did you use? I like the semi gloss or semi flat look. Also, I cant get a real good look but it looks like you have a one piece door window that looks nice. Do you have one and if so what brand did you use?

Got some pieces powder coated the same as the frame. bumper brackets, and the bed supports.
Core support and the Wheels of course. Had this done a while back but cant stop posting pictures out here so here ya go... |

I added some pieces to cover the cab corner holes behind the seats. i tacked them in and then seam sealed them after that.

So its about 95 - 100 in Boise right now so I finally finished a little project in my shop, I got a 5 newer HVAC unit a while back and just got the final wiring done today. AC/Heat in my shop finally....

I remember last summer working out in the driveway in the 100 degree Idaho heat. I had a big fan and a shade tarp and lots of water.
Starting really early on the weekends before it got hot!!  I hate when you leave a tool out in the sun and then you get burned when you finally remember to pick it up!! PS I am liking the red too!!!

I was working on a little project and the fiberglass resin was hardening in the cup before I got it mixed and spread!!

A buddy just told me about a guy he used to work for who ruined a lot of sheet metal using one of those. As a fabricator and metalworker myself I see how it can work but have no desire to try. I prefer the good old tried and true methodology. I would definitly practice on scrap first!

The shrinking disc works great, just let the disc do the work do not use pressure. The metal does not have to get extremely hot, just hot enough so that when you quench it, it seams. The concept is the disc will heat the high spots and when you quench it, the highs will shrink. Just remember patience and you will be okay. It is not a replacement to hammer and dolly work just an extra tool in your arsenal use properly you will enjoy it. I like the smooth stainless steel ones like yours I don't use the one with ripples. Thanks, for all of the advise. I tried it out today and it worked great. A little at a time and no pressure. My son in law and I both used it on different panels and it was great in addition to the usual hammer work.

More body work, got the firewall smoothed out were I removed one rib, and all the factory wrinkles.
and did some smoothing on the inner fender wells. Oh the madness continues.... |
