Re: Starting my 66 "Hay Wagon" build thread.
I notice here you installed new front cab supports.
Did you have any issue similar to this ?: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...70#post3102870

Re: Starting my 66 "Hay Wagon" build thread.
It's a sickness I think, but thanks .
I have most of the PB products either bolted in or fully welded in now. The frame is now at the body shop getting ready to have the cab and bed fit back onto it. We are hoping to have the CPP spindles, Wilwood brakes and Currie rear 9" diff all here early next week. Once we get these we can then get this as a full "roller" Here are a few more progress pics. |

It really isn't an issue - just a little fabrication - that's all. Thanks

Re: Starting my 66 "Hay Wagon" build thread.
We just seem to be finding more holes and issues on every panel we blast. Par for the course I guess.
The doors were bad , so they received some new metal too. MB |

Re: Starting my 66 "Hay Wagon" build thread.
We grabbed a set of Nate's hinges for this project as well. Most of you have seen these and know how slick they are, for those who have not here are a few pics.

Re: Starting my 66 "Hay Wagon" build thread.
We started to clean up the 427, got some paint on it , just waiting for some other goodies to add to it like valve covers, timing chain cover , oil pan etc. I hope to get pics of the Currie 9" and the trans next week as well.
Thanks MB |

Re: Starting my 66 "Hay Wagon" build thread.
It did get pushed to the back corner of the shop while we knocked off a few other projects. Customers cars always get in the way
We were just talking last week about getting the Hay Wagon back on track. In fact we were thinking of maybe ditching the 427 and putting a healthy twin turbo Duramax diesel into the truck. Whats the general consensus on a diesel over the gas big block? MB |
