Boy, they don't paint 'em like that anymore. M '68 C/10 Stepside [ibid post#51] still has the OEM 516 Orange paint job too, but with a lot of "Arizona pinstriping'' [cactus spine scratches]. I should use Turtle wax more often myself.

I think I like the idea of GMC trim on a '68 Chevy nose. Its wider and made of chromed steel, not brightly anodized aluminum. The thinner Chevy trim pieces get dinged too easily. For a daily driver that gets parked on city streets durung the work day, an important consideration.

PS: Is that a ''Trazer'' [cab and shortened bed blended onto a 104'' K/5 frame]?

The 67-68 chevy trim didn't cover the hood gap enough at the front, but the GMC being larger worked well. The leading edge of the fender worked well with then reproduction hood

It is a '72 GMC Jimmy K5 with a fiberglass MPC 1/2 top, made back in the day

Those Cab/Caps are cool. Totally unobtainable now.
So your project is that extremely rare 1968 Blazer prototype. So rare they didn't make them for another year.
I have a '71 Jimmy myself. I call it a ''K/750''.
