Re: Parting 70 Big Block Longhorn

Sorry guys. Internet problems yesterday. It only happens when its rainy and windy.
ante up...the mounting screws were flat head and junk.
4xshort...Yes. what's your zip or postal code?
HeavyMetal...The motor is from pan to valve covers. No dizzy, carb, exhaust manifolds, water pump, starter, brackets, or pulleys. The intake and harmonic balancer is included.
tll74...Where is the casting on wp? There are no shields and tube will stay with motor.
Travisc454...They have some dings, but will work for a driver. $40 pair. I will check shipping.
Gary...riser is sold. headlight harness is good. I will check engine harness.
Thanks for your patience. I am updating the thread now.

Re: Parting 70 Big Block Longhorn

Hi Ray, There should be a GM casting number and a date code. The pic is a date code which is k 8 1. For example this code is October 8 1961 (This is a small block pump).

Re: Parting 70 Big Block Longhorn

Hi, Ray!
Any chance you have, would you please check the rear passenger frame near the axel for any yellow markings? Also, would you please copy down the firewall markings and their locations if possible for me? Thanks.

Re: Parting 70 Big Block Longhorn

Tom...The date code is A 22 71 Jan. 22 1971?

Richard...No yellow on frame, there is an "A" marked with crayon where the ac used to be on the firewall. Is that the mark you were looking for? I can get a pic with a tape measure if that helps.

Thanks,
Ray
