Almost have all the sides welded out and ground down. Then it's on to the stake pockets and lead work.

I like the custom bed work! Is the front bed panel a whole new piece or is it skinned over a cut down original? I guess I am wanting to see a close up of the front bed panel. It looks like the inner bedside skins are overlapped slightly and welded and ground flush, is that right? Great job!

Thanks man!!! The front is the original panel with a piece of 16ga that's welded to the front panel. The inner panels are welded flush to the sides. After doing it I think I would cap the bedrail then the stake pockets would be shaved.

Got to work on my truck today. Took the hood off the front clip and started on notching the core support for the body drop. Post some pics tomorrow.

Wow just read through your build, awesome job on the bed. I love the smooth sheet metal. And your Yellow 68 is just ridiculous, I love it. Subscribed to see how this turns out.

So here is the notch for the core support. I used 4x4 box tubing and split it in half to the height that I needed.

Got the front clip bolted back on the truck. Still need to do the hood hinges to the hood. Can't believe I got this far after starting with 2 frame rails.
