Re: 65 LB Full Poterbuilt
Finally got some update pics. This project is going a lot slow than I thought.... But we are making some progress.
Got the front bumper narrowed and going to make a top lip like the blue tape is laid out. Then fill and smooth all the bumper bolt holes. Got the front clip welded all together, Gonna pull out rad support, box it in and smooth it out. Hood is done except for some under side body work. Got the front valance grill and wiper holes filled and all welded together. Bed is almost all body worked and ready for paint. Only major fab left is the one piece window kit. And off to paint! |

Re: 65 LB Full Poterbuilt
I love the shaved air inlet, but how do you legally get away with shaving the windshield wipers? It looks smooth as hell, but unsafe as well. I have really liked the shaved dash, but wont that glossy finish be hell on reflective glare?
I am also curious if you are doing a tilt front clip, because that fully incorporated front must be a pain to take off/put on otherwise.... Your grill though is to die for !!!

No tilt clip, Welded the front fenders to the front grill support body worked all the seems. Hood opens normal with the use of Poterbuilt hood hinges. Was gonna paint very center section of the grill satin silver like the rest of that truck. Thanks for everyone else's compliments!!! |

Re: 65 LB Full Poterbuilt
I know when Rob started this project almost a year ago, His goal was to finish it by Good Guys San Diego. Bummed he will miss it. But from what I hear the truck should be in paint this week. Ill try and give him some shoves in the correct direction. Maybe get it done for the Brothers show.

Talked to Rob yesterday. Truck should be in te paint booth today with the PPG rep overseeing the spraying. I'm going to try and get down there and check it out. But here's a sneak peek.
