Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Today I will work on the heater controls and heater box valve. Heat is pouring in and that is not cool in the summer!

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Wish list continues. Tomorrow I will begin gathering items for the glove box sound system. I plan on using items I have already and sub out components as time goes by.
I an wondering if a remote CD play will work with the glove box shut. I will get a boom tube and a couple of speakers to set in behing the seat for the time being. Caps are in route and Rally wheels are painted and ready for clear coat. Trim rings will be purchased tomorrow. Caddy tail lights would really look great!

Something else I have seen that looks pretty cool, is the cadi lights in a newer step side bed.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Caps came in today and look great. I am now searching for the correct lug bolts that will fit and work. Progress on the build is at a stand still.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
My truck sat in a shop for 8 1/2 weeks and came out in worse shape. The carb rebuild has failed and cold starts are now impossible. One of four panels were welded. I did get my parking brake cables installed!

Took Betty to a cruise inn last night. None of my friends were there! Still had fun and the ugliest truck there.

I really like your truck. Has character. Wish mine hadn't been tore apart when I bought it. Keep enjoying it.

Re: Meet Betty 72 GMC
Thanks Greg and 67. It amazes me how hard it is to find anyone who will do any work on these trucks. Lots of talk and no action. In the time my truck sat in a shop this summer I could have completed a welding class! Meanwhile I need to get my old awful bumper and get my roll pan ready!
