Re: Hogging the parts boards
Hogging the parts board. This might be a dumb question. But is that posting to many ads or buying everything up?

Re: Hogging the parts boards
Every day there's a guy who bumps his ads to the top "ttt"
I went back and looked at my emails, and he has "ttt" every single day. He must be deleting his previous ttt, because they don't show up in his sale threads. Bumping his ad everyday is selfish and rude to others. In this thread about hogging the board someone mentioned perhaps 3 days minimum between ttt. I personally treat it like Craigslist and only bump my thread weekly.

Re: Hogging the parts boards
Ttt, Bump, Every other day.
Some think their ads are more important than yours, so they Ttt them every other day. . I actually make note of these abusers and resolve not to buy anything from them. . They are basically spamming the parts board.

Re: Hogging the parts boards
I personally don't think that bumping a post every other day or so is egregious, given the number of posts to the for sale board. After two days, the post would be down on page 4 or so.

Re: Hogging the parts boards
Hogging is more a matter of crowding threads covering a 'block' of the page or posting several parts all individually, and keeping them together. And yes, most of these people do bump often. You have to deal with human nature any time there are so many in one place. There are also people who bump single listings too often, but it's not such an impact.

People DO look beyond the first few pages, just look at all the dead threads from years past that get dragged up. If the part isn't selling it's not due to lack of exposure, it's priced higher than what someone is willing to pay or is not in demand.
