so this is where its going ! I'm also going to get a piece of stainless tubing and run a slit down the middle and tig it to the bottom edge insert to make it more finished looking !!

what about painting the mesh on the grille flat/satin black, so that the corvair emblem floats?

Yeah it most likely will be black at some point . I still have to figure out the hood latch and I think the release is going to be at the bottom of the grill !

I just joined the site and I saw the 59 impala dash. I started doing the same thing to my 61 a few months back haha. Looks good

I dig the swap in a pre 63 cab ! I think Skoty Chops did the dash in my truck not happy how it fits might redo it !

I think it would just fit better in a knee knocker cab ! It's cooll just wish it was trimmed 1/2" more !

I had to cut the dash in half, trim the sides to line up the steering column hole etc....

after I button up some things the truck might be going up for sale or the auction site , time to build a bomb need a pre 54 chevy bad ! bolting up accessories to a 60's truck isn't the same !!
