It's looking really good man, thanks for keeping us up to date with this project.
Thanks. I started building this truck with the plans of a super shiny custom pickup, but I knew I would be to scared to drive it for what it was made to be... A truck. So now when I'm done with it I won't be scared to go to Home Depot and load up the bed with materials.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build

yep, pretty much the same reason i decided to do what I'm doing. If I wanna use my fender to hold my beer, I don't want to have to worry about scratching the paint. Plus I think it just looks cool

Rear glass went in pretty easy, it's the windshield that's difficult to get in especially if you have the stainless trim.

Nice seats.
I've been thinking about getting those for mine even though I already have a recovered 87 truck bench seat.

The Astro van seat is 55 inches wide factory seat is 56 inches wide. Center of the steering wheel is about 2.5 inches to the right of the center of the seat. I have sat in the seat and the driving position feels very good and comfortable even with the 18 inch steering wheel and no tilt.

Re: 56 Mild Custom Build

Got all the hardware and lights installed. Getting the wiring harness installed.

Finished the passenger side door logo. All hand painted and all detail work on the crest was all free handed. Probably the hardest piece I've done.

Man this truck looks cool. Are you planning on leaving it stock height or will it get lowered?
