Re: My Name is Rusty and I'm Addicted to POR

I just found this thread... I guess it wasn't done when he was 16? And it looks like the corvette is going to go under this one again. Nice work so far. Keep posting those updates.

Ya me to my dad was a cowboy so my learning came late hoping they stay ambitious this time what's nice is they have learned a lot in the last two years. Used to be I had to weld every thing but now I can't see that good up close so him doing the welding is a good thing..

Thanks, I have to admit, I was lost for a minute!

Great work. Does the standard fiberglass spring on the corvette work well on the trucks? I would assume a truck is lighter in the rear but may be wrong about that.

Thanks, Rg

Can't tell for sure it hasn't had all the weight on to yet but the rear won't be an issue as you can raise and lower it with a longer or shorter bolt. And the truck is about 1000 ponds heavier then the car .. The front can't be lowered with the stock spring you can only take it up .. But if it doesn't work out there is allays coil overs just on this budget the stock springs stay if they can.

I've seen a lot of things done to these trucks over the years, but I have to say, this is THE FIRST time I have seen anyone do this.

It's different, yet you don't really notice it at first.

I have wanted to do it for sometime ..and this one is the test on a dark colored truck that line bugs me. So I'm going to make a plug off this one and I hope the next one won't have to be welded just shaped into the plug..
