Re: 1 ton rat rod project
Love the build man subscribed! Here in utah there was forsale possibly still could be but a 1960 gmc 1 ton with a hay box on the back. They wanted 1000 bucks for it. Wish i would've had the money!

Re: 1 ton rat rod project
Ok quick update ill come with pics tomorrow. I am workin on a budget... Like all of us lol but mine is because my wife still doesn't kno about the truck lmao this ought a be interesting! But the point is its taken me a little bit but I built all my bag mounts for the front and it is complete. Currently designing and fabing the rear. It's been a challenge because of the short dually axle with a large offset chuck and 2800 bags. But I've got a plan ill unveil tomorrow... To be continued

Re: 1 ton rat rod project
K I'm like 4 days late lol but I've finally made progress today. Because the wife doesn't kno I only get to work on it on down time at work and we do a/c and it got HOT!!! Lol alright so front was no prob built my bag plates and cups and remove the springs and boom I was done! Now once I aired it out with the spring flip, body drop, and z it sat quite level. But when aired up as if I were driving it had an aweful rake so that threw out not bagging the rear. I don't have the funds to buy a four link and really wanted to keep the one ton functionality. Basically I don't way a one ton she'll with 1/2 ton gvwr. So I want to keep all the leafs and just like a semi add bags for lift to level it off when I raise the front. Because its a dually the axel is very narrow and chunk is off center so I built a sturdy bridge over the chunk to serve as a lower bag bracket and a bridge from frame over that.. Check it out and give ur opinion this is jus mocked up not secured fully!

Re: 1 ton rat rod project
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm guessing its because I'm on 32 inch overall diameter wheel and tire package that's this is why I'm still 6" from the ground after all this?
