Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

Yeah I think the TBSS are 395. The Camaro, vette ls2 are the same motor but I heard the intake system is a little different so I think it's about 400 to 410. He will get paint right before its over with.

The truck intake doesn't make quite as much hp but does a little better on the torque side. It's a ugly mofo with the engine cover off though . I have no doubt he will. It will give me time to get the engine moved that's sitting in my parking spot. The truck won't be left out in the weather so the wife may be unhappy

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

I finally got home from work but the last few days have been pretty busy with other stuff. I did find time to prep the engine so when a friend shows up we can get it on the engine stand.

A few shots of the transmission

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

I stopped by and saw the painter today. Gonna take a few parts up there tomorrow so he can put them in when he reassembles it. I should have the truck back by Wednesday and then I can do the rest

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

Here's a few small updated pics. I did run into some issues yesterday and figured out I have a 67 passenger vent window and a later model driver side so I was only able to change one vent window handle. The carpet is in now but no pics of that yet

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

Since I'm pretty close to finished with the interior I went ahead and called Jeff at CPP and placed a order for the ls swap kit. That should get me motivated to go ahead and start ordering more stuff and hopefully finish the swap by the end of the year.

Anyway here's where I left off at yesterday

And where I finished at today

You don't want a close up pic of that pos I promise. It came with the truck but it'll get me by until I can do better. These days I prefer exhaust sound over music anyway

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

Ok then, I had a feeling I was looking at peg board but wanted to confirm which you have.
I have some ideas I think you will really like for the new console.

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

Yep it's peg board . After the swap I'll actually have room for some speakers and maybe a small amp. I don't care for crazy systems much anymore

The steering wheel will be available in about a month. PM me if you're serious. It's just a cheap 90s model wheel

Re: My first C10-LS2/4L70E swap

Nothing really. I got shipping confirmation from cpp for my ls swap kit and from boyd welding for the gas tank. I still need to order the rest of my fuel system components but I've been taking it easy. With the twins birthday coming up and xmas shortly after things have to slow down for a bit. The 350 is still running fine so no rush on my end
