I love it! I think if my health allows me to ever do another project it would be satin black with red interior. I prefer the all red interior like superflysteiny's Pop's ride but I think yours will look killer as well and can't wait to see some finished pictures. Keep up the great work.

Now back to "Texas Touch"........here is a pic of the direction I am going on the interior. I don't want to "Red out", just accent in red. only items not pictured that are also going to be red is the dash pad, and seatbelts (Cheyenne Super-Man is rebuilding the belts). Tell me what you guys think, any other "Red" ideas?

where did you get the red accent parts from? thank you.

Wow all the parts you painted turned out amazing. Really nice job you did. What did you use for paint, single stage or BC/CC?

Thanks again Guys! At first I was going to go SS, but after spraying the cowl and this being my first attempt at painting, I made the move to BC/CC. I still had some orange peel, one place of dry spray, and a couple of runs, but still better to work with in the long run for a first timer like me.......

Re: 70' gmc swb "texas touch"

Side note on the doors, these door are 68' donor door I got last year, 70' ones were toast. Had to plug old trim holes, layout and drill new ones before paint, enlarge holes for new door handles.....67' & 68' had reinforcing backing plates for the door handles those years, that’s good, but they also have inset holes....that calls for longer bolts than 69 - 72.

My point of this post is, if you can score some doors with the correct holes, trim, and hardware layout, it sure does make things easier......Man, but these 68' doors are sweet......

Thanks for the info, I knew you were a first time painter from reading another thread of yours in the paint section. You did an amazing job on this truck. I'm a first time painter as well but haven't started spraying yet, hopefully I can achieve similar results.

Follow the "Paint Gods" in the Paint & Body thread here, and watch lots of videos online......my one suggestion "lots of clear coat"!!
