Re: The "Wrecker"
Thanks Alan.
I remember seeing that type of stanchion (?) on big trucks, 60s, 70s and semis. But this is the first time on a 10-30. Were they common and I'm just out of the know? In trying to preserve them, could you just salvage the bumps and not the whole top. Or are the bumps rusted thin also? Dave. |

I got the wire ran down the post for the cab lights. I thought it would be pretty easy. It took about an hour to get it done. Due to snow here I didn't go to work however I did some work done on the wrecker. It was fun getting the dog house off by myself. Yeehaw

Re: The "Wrecker"
Not much lifting. I wasn't worried about damage. I inched it up over the tires and it just rolled off the front and the hood opened like a kick stand. I didn't expect the hood to open but it worked. 😳

Good to see you are taking it easy on this one, and not going for the over the top attention to detail/better than factory build. Seems like it is more fun for you this time. Though I know how devestating snow in your part of the country can be, with people not accustomed to it, or practiced in navigating it, I still had to chuckle. Sorry but could not help myself. So I went out and snapped these pics for you a second ago: not to one-up you, or boo hoo you about snow, just as an envy shot that you can put hands on yours, while mine patiently waits for Spring.... I am super interested to see what you do with yours, and how many ideas I can leech off you !! Looking good so far !!

Re: The "Wrecker"
John (flashed) are you interested in the bed? It's a wood deck.

Re: The "Wrecker"
