Re: Mr. T's truck - 49 3100 on an S10 frame
Nice job Chris, they have an Alternate Tinkering forum on here that you could show the 64 SS if you wanted, if you do let me know...Jim

Less than a month. Dude you are on fire! I'm really impressed. I second Jim's notion. I would love to see what you are doing with the 64 Imp!
I wish I had the time and funds to devote to mine.

Re: Mr. T's truck - 49 3100 on an S10 frame
Thanks Billy, 3 weeks and 3 days... But 3 days were taken off to go to Branson, and 2 days of that were solving fuel delivery issues.... But who's counting?
I'll be posting the 64 Impala after all. I'm just doing the wiring harness and vintage AC install on that one, should be a nice quick job!

Re: Mr. T's truck - 49 3100 on an S10 frame
So a 41-46 truck bed works fine on AD trucks? Do you just need to re-drill fender bolt holes? By the way the truck turned out great! Jealous how quickly you can get them done

Re: Mr. T's truck - 49 3100 on an S10 frame
Kenny; Thanks, the owner is very pleased with how it turned out, and I am happy to have put another one on the road!
And no, 41-46 beds are a bout 2.5" narrower. So the tailgate, rear panel, and cross sills won't work, just the bedsides.

Re: Mr. T's truck - 49 3100 on an S10 frame
I bet the owner is thrilled! Oh great, my bed sides are pretty beat up but I have a good rear panel and tailgate and found a cheap 41-46 bed. Thanks for giving me the info! Might have to pick that bed up now.

Re: Mr. T's truck - 49 3100 on an S10 frame
sarge you made quick work of that, got more patience than me dealing with that engine and wiring. I like to start from scratch and hate factory setups. nice job.
