Thanks guys, i was able to move the rear bumper in 2", it has bothered me for years how far it stuck out. Also, if you cant afford new bilstien shocks, just sand and paint your ild ones, then throw some random srixkers on there lol!

Or....
Sand & paint the wheels you already have & put the money spent for the new wheels (& subsequent required parts) toward the better shocks (Bilsteins) & then you don't have to

x2.

It sure would be nice if all paint/body shops were that easy to work with & commited to a timely completion. In & out in under 1 month is freakin rockin even when you did the tear down.

The truck looks great! Good job!

BTW - I like the PYO wheels with red bowties. Really nice and clean.

Re: My 85 C20 "finally getting paint"

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it. i am picking up some monroe shocks tonight until i can afford the bilstiens, those ones i painted were dead, no sense in running them any longer.

still left to do is the passenger side door jamb rubber, replace the dash, paint the gas tank covers black on either side that were not taped off when the truck was painted. get my lugnuts in tomorrow and put the new wheels on good, i want to sand and wirewheel down the entire rear undercarriage, at least everything you can see from behind the truck and get some fresh black on it, then install the new shocks with new hardware. need to tighten down front bumper, wire in license plate lights, Then it should be prety much ready for the car show saturday. then its the engine bay next lol

Re: My 85 C20 "finally getting paint"

Shoooooweeeee dat's nice! Great work all around. I like the PYO's. Only thing better'd be the 16-16.5 (I Dunno) x 8 or 10's One ton wheels. There's a cat in the c-10 club Brothers show coverage with a set on a dark red 72 3/4 ton that's dropped. Oooo that's mean lookin'!

Re: My 85 C20 "finally getting paint"

Thanks guys. Grille came from lmc. Fit quality is great, but i had to repaint it silver, they did a sloppy job. Also, the inserts i had painted red came with several bad dings in them. I wasnt too happy. Other than that it came out good once i touched it up

Truck was rearended before i got it. Right before he blew the motor. I had to cut it out with a sawzall and removed the bed and pull the frame rail out. Truck is salvage title because of it

No way that should have a salvage title because of that damage.
