Re: 1969 C10 Longbed BubbaTruck
I can't believe it, but somehow I don't have any pics of installing the brackets, spacers and hubs, sigh...I'm sure I took some...
At any rate, the brackets bolt to the spindles in 3 places, one at the top where the old brake cylinder mounts, the other two at the bottom. Scarebird sends new Grade 8 bolts for everything. Scarebird kit has two spacers. One goes onto the stub axle, right up against the inner shoulder - it moves the inner bearing out away from the body maybe 1/4". They're very well made and a precision "slip" fit onto the axle. The second spacer is for the outer bearing, which has a larder ID than the OD of the axle. It's more of a sleeve with a tiny lip that goes to the outer edge of the bearing. Otherwise, installation of the hub/rotor is straightforward. The grease seal rides on the inner spacer, and the original outer bearing washer catches both the outer bearing and the bearing sleeve/spacer. The original nut is used, and Scarebird sends a new cotter pin. That gets the bracket, bearing spacers, and hub/rotos mounted. (looking for pics)

I saw your lifters and feel your pain. These are 1/2 hour old and my cam looks like yours. Complete engine rebuild twice.
