Re: Any threads for C20 pics only?

my 1972 Cheyenne Super,75,400 miles.big block/turbo 400,dual exhaust,A/C that works and a Dana 60 rear with 3.54 gears and on leaf springs.it was built at the Fremont plant in Sept 71,sold at Leo Hoffman Chevrolet in City of Industry,California.the original owner travelled every year to Idaho to an old family homestead and in 1996,his wife had a fall, the truck was put in a barn, they got back to California somehow and the truck stayed there for 25 years.they never made it back.his nephew inherited the place in Idaho along with the truck.after sitting there all those years,he thought he should pull it out and sent it for scrap but thankfully, that didn't happen,a truck guy heard about it,bought it but advertized it for sale so now it lives here.it has original paint, original interior except new carpet.4 new Firestone 9.50 x 16.5R Transforce Radials on the original 16.5 wheels,a new tinted and shaded windshield.i plan to pull the motor and trans this winter and clean and re-seal it all,it seems to leak from a new place every time i drive it?

Still likes to pull a load.....

Came with a 2 barrel carb but was changed to a quadrajet years ago.

20's are the real mans trucks, they like to work, and I love em.

I have added a little city to the truck since I posted those pictures.

Lowered in 2"/4"
18X9 wheels with 265/65R18 tires
Different bed cover

But the guy running the loader at the compost centre still looks twice before loading me up with a yard of compost to haul home.

hi Steve,my understanding is the blue bowtie with a bowed out center, is correct til 72,then the gold/tan bowtie with a concave center,73-76 but same hubcap other than the material they're made from.i'm needing some for my truck, all 4 hubcaps went missing during it's 25 years in hibernation.i've rounded up a couple of scruffs but need some good ones.take care.Greg

I put these on my truck later model I've been told by a couple of members that the concave center can be pushed out making them almost identical to the pre 73 caps .
