Re: parting out a 68 C20
Thanks for vent pictures. It appears chrome has rubbed off on plastic please correct me if I'm wrong. I'll pass on gas cap. Do you have pictures of outside door handles? Thanks

Re: parting out a 68 C20
No-theres no chroming worn off-its a slightly more dull finish vs. the actual deflector since its chrome plated and the plastic is a dip process. Here's a few more pics...and I haven't got the door handles off yet...I'm packaging up some of the parts tonight and sending them out.

Re: parting out a 68 C20
Is there any interest in the factory quadrajet and TH400 kickdown switch setup if I overhaul the carb? It has the original heated choke coil w/linkage and carb works great but I thought if somebody wants a nice, large bore stock 1969 350 4-barrel truck carb rebuilt (and yes, I am very good at overhauling Q-Jet carbs!) and with it I'll add the OEM trans kickdown switch. After a thorough cleaning and overhaul, I'll offer this freshly rebuilt carb for $250 shipped with the Kickdown switch. PM if interested or, reply back either on forum or in PM with "I'll take it" and I'll consider it sold pending payment. Carb spacer included too. Thanks!

Re: parting out a 68 C20
This truck also still has its LH ramhorn style manifold w/bracket and cable for the engine hold down in really nice shape-no cable fraying and hardware not rusty....good shape. I also am pulling the frame mount bracket for the cable too-if anybody is interested in the whole she-bang as a complete set, I figure $125 shipped? It'd be a pretty bulky thing to ship but its kind of a scarce piece to find complete.

Re: parting out a 68 C20
The interior isn't bad. The bench seat has a light separation on the drivers side but foam all throughout is good. The vinyl pattern is nice-kind of a moss/olive green color. Doornpanels are no good tho-has nice sun visors, good dome light lense. I'll get some pics again tomorrow.

Re: parting out a 68 C20
It does. There is a switch above the LH AC vent which reads "traveller tanks"-its a three position chrome toggle. There is the main tank behind the front seat and two more on the insides of both frame rails behind the cab.

Re: parting out a 68 C20
I've been working on harnesses for most of the week so I haven't got a chance to pull the door handles just yet-and I'll try and get pics underneath of the tanks-are you wanting the wiring for everything as well?

Re: parting out a 68 C20
I need a "pumpkin" (diff and the center carrier and gears) from a C20. Is that truck an automatic with a V8 and coil springs on the rear? If it's the right one the carrier will unbolt and come out from the front and the rear 10 bolt cover can also be removed, just leaving a big hole.
Thanks Larry W. |

Re: parting out a 68 C20
Would you sell the vacuum evaporator canister and bracket separate from the A/C box?
