Re: 1960 Bagged, Bodied and back-halfed with Cummins 4BT
Made a little progress on it over the last week or so. Made a saltwater solution and lightly sprayed down the frame to get the aged look up to speed. Worked fast! Even started turning the copper rivets green after two days. Once I'm happy with the rusting, I'm going to rub it all down with linseed oil.

Re: 1960 Bagged, Bodied and back-halfed with Cummins 4BT
I won a lot of old steampunk brass and copper fittings/gauges and random junk on eBay to repurpose on this build. Already came up with some trick ideas with the parts. I made a bizarre, one off license plate light out of several pieces from the lot. I'll end up bolting this piece to the bumper to shine up at the plate.

I also found this gauge cheap on eBay from the early 1900's that I'm going to use as boost pressure.

And another oddity to repurpose as my power steering remote reservoir.

Made a clamping bolt out of an old brass hanger and an accumulator band to secure the the new reservoir.

Re: 1960 Bagged, Bodied and back-halfed with Cummins 4BT
Ditched the aluminum radiator for an old copper honeycomb that was narrow enough to sneak past the gearbox. Had to solder up a couple places but it holds under pressure so I'm going to try it out.

Re: 1960 Bagged, Bodied and back-halfed with Cummins 4BT
Man I'd like to. Still got a ways to go but maybe. I've got everything to do the brakes now and will get them knocked out this week. If I really jam on it everyday after work and on the weekends like I've been doing, I might be able to. Hard not to rush it and get it rollin.

Very cool truck you're building! I really dig your fab work and that back half is pretty sweet!

Re: 1960 Bagged, Bodied and back-halfed with Cummins 4BT
After countless hours of searching and then waiting for these to ship over from China, my rear lamps finally arrived. Got them installed into the old connecting rod lamp housings last night. Not bad for 38 bucks each. The outer ring is solid brass with a heavy steel housing and copper hardware with an LED setup. Company that sells them is called FTW I believe. I cut up a couple of beer cans to hide the wiring on the back side and I'll come up with a slick way to conceal the wiring when I get ready to do all the electrical.
