Re: Project blue affair
Thanks guys!
I'm starting to mock up the bed so I can get a measurement for the rear end. Were leaning towards having a ford 9 inch built for it. I have to admit I keep going in the garage just to look at it! You can see in the second picture how tall these rear wheels are. I have some trimming to do in the near future. |

Re: Project blue affair
Made some progress on the besides! decided to cutout the inner panels of the bed so we could get the wheels as far out as possible. Also a good chance that we are going to set the rear of the truck to air out about a inch off the ground so we don't have to cut the side of the bed rails.

Re: Project blue affair
Just a suggestion, but I'd use a paintstick thickness at a minimum.

Re: Project blue affair
Casey keep in mind the body roll when you go up an incline at an angle. I know you want it as tight as possible (as I did), but you don't want to mess up your wheels and tires. Also, the tire will be closer to the front of the wheel well when aired out but closer to the back of the wheel well when aired all of the way up (arc of suspension). Just a few thoughts from my experience of going through this. Keep up the good work. Rob

Re: Project blue affair
Around a 1/2". If less than that, you will be taking a chance AND it will be very difficult to remove the wheel and tire from the axle. Just my .02$ ,.
