I'm considering this. I think that's the way I'm going to go so that I don't have to deal with a separate transmission controller.

Inducing labor tomorrow morning at 7:45am, should have plenty of time to read up on it in the next few days, lol.

Check out lt1swap.com too. I used the info from there on my first swap and it worked great. Fired it up first try. Plenty of info on reworking the stock harness and a good price to get the PCM reflashed to do away with the VATS and other non-essential items.

Picked up some TBSS manifolds from another forum member.





I'm gonna try and get the engine out of the donor in the next few weeks. I need to brush up on cams. I might as well do a turbo friendly cam while the engine is out. Also gonna do head gaskets, valve springs, and probably studs. Looks like my work time on it is going to be pretty limited for the next few weeks so I figure I might as well keep collecting parts.

Now to go order a 400lph walbro pump and the corvette filter/regular and make myself some fuel lines.

I got my 400lph fuel pump in, I have basically everything I need except time.

No progress on the truck, so I thought I would update you guys as to what I have been doing.

Some douchenozzle decided to break into my Miata and pull the phone mount off the dash. No clue why, I never lock it and there was nothing of any real value in it.



Luckily I have a spare Miata. I've been meaning to pull the last useful parts off of it and scrap it. Now seemed like a good time.

First I pulled the doors. I also removed the deck lid but I didn't get a pic of it. Looks like a deck lid.



Started pulling the dash. Not as hard as you would think, honestly. Just very dusty.



Not a whole lot left on my parts car at this point.



Slightly more electronics than my square body.



This weekend I'm going to pull the wheels off for a spare set and then take it across the scales.



Dash all out and sitting on the tailgate of my 82, waiting for me to clean it up and put it in this weekend.



I promise as soon as I'm done with this I'll pull the drivetrain from the donor Yukon

I'll be watching this one for sure. I love watching the interiors being transformed. I know you said you didn't like the door panel carpet, maybe you can do something like this. I had this one my doors for a short time, but I went back to the carpet.

What are your plans for the tailgate band? Are you going to keep it?

That looks awesome! I will definitely do something like that. I'm undecided on the tailgate band, I see one that looks awesome without it and I want to take it off, then I see one that looks really awesome with it and want to leave it on.
