Re: My King Ranch seat swap
These look awesome! What did you have to cut or modify on the seat bracket - I saw the picture of the bracket but it looks like there was only one cut needed? I’m considering using these as my first and second row for the 71 suburban. Do they fold as well, or do the bottoms only come up?
Thanks! |

Re: My King Ranch seat swap
I’ll answer as well since I did it as well. The OP was inspiration.
You need to trim some off the bracket to make it lay flat on the “hump” not sure what you would need to Do for the second seat is the suburban. At least cut the end of bracket off. The seats fold both up and down but the steering wheel is in the way for full fold down on driver side. Last edited by Wobpb377; 04-28-2021 at 12:21 PM. |

Re: My King Ranch seat swap
Looks great.
Awsome you included the before & after picture with the measurements of clearance distances. I've sat in a couple trucks with seat swaps done and wasn't a fan of how little room there was with the new seat.

Re: My King Ranch seat swap
Ok this seems like a great option. Thank you for posting this up and @Wobpb377 thank you for the clarification! I'm 5'7" on a good day I might need to move these up a bit but it seems like a great option.
The only difference between these King Ranch seats and other trim levels is the leather correct? Thanks again |

Re: My King Ranch seat swap
Correct. Seats are all the same throughout specific model year. But the coverings are different. Same seats come in 250,350, 450. The 150 seats are smaller.
You might be able to easily place the seat in the position you like as well. I used two of the existing seat mounts and drilled new holes for the others and place a large flat washer. Some don’t agree with that method though. So be warned. |

Re: My King Ranch seat swap
For anyone who's done this swap would you mind letting me know how wide the seats are? - Or any identifying information that may help to distinguish between a seat from a 150,250 etc?
I found some good seats in my area but the seller docent know what they're out of... |

Re: My King Ranch seat swap
I don't have the dimensions, but I want to say the back seats were the same size. That was one thing I was curious about when trying to search for them.
