Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I saw the car at whiskey Pete's, it matches the the historic pictures. So I think it's the real car. My .02 for whatever it's worth.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
1/2" hole in the side @ 45* and a 3/4" hole up from the bottom. I'm not sure how great they work. They say hang them every 10'. I got only one in and it definitely was trapped. Not long after I put them up I noticed they weren't buzzing and hovering around so much. I never noticed before, but I guess they only do what they do for a limited time and I came with the traps a little late. I have 6 more jars to have 12 for next year. We'll see how they work when I get them up next spring

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I have had lots of carpenter bees most years, strangely very few this year. They mostly chew into cedar; I've never seen traps like that before and I wonder if they might be more effective if they were made with cedar?
The bees are tough -- I have used an electric flyswatter on them, knocked them down in a shower of sparks, and watched them get up & fly away. I have also sprayed them with sticky bicycle chain lube in their holes. It works sometimes.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
I grew up with black & white TV. That test pattern, flecked background, and wasn't there a high pitch sound signal as well? Maybe that was when it first came on a while, then just static. That symbol was like a target. I seem to recall the whole thing was kinda scary. Like the world came to an end . I also grew up during the cold war, so grew up knowing the threat of nuclear attack. Wake up on the couch in the wee wee hours to that screen and, "AHhhhh!!!! We've been nuked!! .....................

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’
Very funny Boog. No, it has four mice! I'm pretty sure it has whatever engine they put in Crosley cars, which I believe was a small 4-banger, like around 800-1000cc.
I just checked into it. After WWII they used the military 4cyl with double the pre-war HP. It has 26.5hp!!! The cars got 35 mpg
