Re: My 52 GMC Build
dude, I'd be in heaven there. I luv the old western looking stuff. Got a few themed things at my house. I like how those big name companies did some throwback looking banners.
The vehicles look good, I esp like the chopped green ford.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Well today at noon, after I sleep for a bit, we are off to Georgetown (an hour away) for the Rock’N‘Roll’N Classics car show. They shut down the main street for the eve. Meeting up with some friends. Then Saturday morning we will drive to Milton (an hour away) for the Northern Showdown Charity Car Show. It's a custom low rider truck, car show, this show has exploded from last year. I'm entering my truck in the limbo contest Should be fun. Maybe I will see some of you local guys?

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Well we had a very good weekend. We drove the truck to 2 shows then to a family bday, logged 271mi in 6 hrs of driving. Friday Rock&roll cruise night, then Northern showdown, fundraiser for make a wish.
This is the 11 cars we rode into downtown with from the s-10 to the green Vista cruiser. The '38 chevy had a Grand national motor in it and was on a Toyota pickup frame. The '38's buddy had this '72 with a turbo'd chevy 4.3L v6 This is half the street, all the way to the top of the hill.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Looked like a couple good shows. I really wanted to attend the Northern Showdown. Sounds like it really grew since last year.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Well on Saturday at the show the organizer of the 519 truck show I went to a month ago came and found me to tell me that I won "Best of show". I said no way we picked "Best lowered" category. There was a bunch of confusion at the end of that show we thought it was over so we left. He told me how to pick up my 3' trophy. I still can't believe this is for my truck.

You know I didn't build this truck for a show truck, I built it because this is what I wanted. But it is nice to get recognition of my hard work from total strangers. Trophy's are cool too but in the end I love driving it the most. 2300mi on it now.

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Limbo contest at the show Saturday was fun. Only went through once due to the fact my truck is 5' tall sitting on the ground. But I plowed my way through

Re: My 52 GMC Build
Very cool on all! I'm glad you posted pics of that diesel dually. I was watching an old episode of Restoration garage and they had footage of a show they took their rat rod to. In the that show clip, I saw that truck blowing black smoke but you couldn't see most of the truck. Very cool on your big win too!
