Re: My Facetruck thread.

I loaded the little woman up yesterday and took her down to the river for a picnic. It looks pretty in the picture but it was a bad call on my part. It was hotter than hades, no breeze and humid. I'm glad it's the thought that counts.

Thanks. I would like to jot a few concepts and see what he comes up with. He does a great job from all I've seen. A great talent.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Nope , I drove my Orange Flame Non Truck 72 El Camino as my truck uses too much oil even though it has low miles . The Elky tried running hot but it made it . My 72 truck will be ready next year with an LS Swap as I bought a low mile wrecked 03 Avalanch today .

If the LS is coming from and Avalanche it should just slide right in.

Sorry, it was funny to me.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

From an Avalanche? Very cooool. That '72 will really get down with that LS swap. Good luck with the process. I hear it is easy to get started but can end up putting a lot of pressure on you

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Mrs. Bee's take home unmarked police car.. shameful for an emergency vehicle..

her dept. is notorious for lack of maintenance of their vehicles, I've had to jump start, replace batteries, inflate tires, plug tires, etc..

they don't have a fleet garage, they contract from some local low bid garage near their central office..

they rotate random types of cars and suvs so every year or so it's something different in the driveway..

just how exactly a battery in a late model f o r d exploder could grow that much fuzz and still crank at all is beyond me..

it was so colorful, just had to share with y'all

fortunately, I got it started for her and it's in the hands of their trusty mechanic

wasn't in the driveway last night so probably getting the works.. in their invoice anyways

Re: My Facetruck thread.

A friend of mine dug a pool for a customer.

The customer wouldn't pay the bill.

My friend took two loads of dirt back to the house and dumped it in the front yard.

The owner called the police, and my friend told the police the job wasn't finished. He said I haven't even been paid yet.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

That is rich! It's not often you can carry out the things that come to mind when a S.O.B. rips you off for your hard earned money and get away with it.

I used to have people tell me I should go pull the siding off a deadbeat builder's house I installed for thousands less than free. Once installed it is considered their property and that would only get me in legal trouble. I had one guy into me for a good bit by being getting behind. My solution was go set-up, start the job, and disappear till I saw some money for a job already completed. It worked, too. What contractor would come onto that situation and not smell a rat? I know my first question would be what that contractor's phone number was so I could get the story behind it all. Oh the tales that could be told.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I worked for a Pipeline contractor once where we dug up and removed old gas tanks from a gas station and hauled the contaminated soil away , hauled in good fill and compacted it and spread gravel . The owner of the property decided it cost too much and refused to pay . My boss put a Lean on the property and the guy could not sell it . My boss finally wound up owning that prime piece of commercial property and now a large Drug Store sits on it .

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Here in MD a lien on a new residence will not victimize the buyers by preventing the settlement from occurring. So, basically, I'd get my money whenever they sold the house...whenever that would be. And then, I'd only get the money owed me. It's net 30 days around here on new construction (except the biggest builders who do 90 days. Where's my interest?). The houses usually went to settlement before the 30 days.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

It works the same here Im pretty sure . The guy that owned the property and stiffed my boss lost the property to the bank and the bank sold it to my former boss cheap to get it off their books ,Win /Win ,I guess .

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Sure 'nuff. Good comes out of bad. Always a nice tale. Some people don't see paying a bill or a debt as their obligation. Or, know no sense of obligation no matter what it is. Some people hire services they don't have the money to pay for. Don't care who it impacts or how it affects an honest man's way to stick with his obligations. Boy, that's a lot of words for P.O.S.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I'm in a pretty good mood today. I went to the doctor for test results yesterday. The stem cell transplant seems to be working. There is no signs of the llymphoma or cancer. Even small spot on my lung isn't detectable. I'm a guy today. Now to get my strength and stamina back..........
