Stepped ends are machined to fit these:

The blades work by clocking them between horizontal and vertical, or any degree between. So imagine them set horizontal. They will flex more than when set vertical. When they flex they absorb some of the twist (twist is induced by body roll), thus reducing the total torsional resistance of the entire assembly (like having a lighter bar). When they are set vertical they flex less and more of the twist is transferred to the bar/shaft. Thus increasing the total torsional resistance of the entire assembly (like having a heavier bar).

Thanks I see how they fit know, the link to the A-arm is the only part not shown...and the torsional resistance increases as the blade is put on edge. Who makes this stuff?

Thanks for the extra info, amazing technology. Very cool that your implementing this equipment on your Harry Potter car, yours is gonna fly too...I know its an Anglia. Nothing but a video will satisfy us, great build.

now that is fricken cool! i can imagine how well that adjustable one is. and the second pic shows only one side has the blade so one side is fixed. i wonder how they hold up though? i'm sure because it's race certified, it'll be fine on the street.

I use them until they're pretty darn small. But I keep different sizes for different needs. Just lining the wheel wells. Maybe the entire bottom. Need a rotisserie for that though... The inside will be POR-15, paint, and fatmat.

Been making progress on a few things that are not really photo worthy:

• Cleaned up/smoothed welds inside the header
• Prep'ed all parts for powdercoating
• Added some reinforcement to the lower arms (overkill)
• Dropped off large parts for powder coating!

Going with steel gray pearlecent on the xmembers and sway bar. Here's the color:


I think it'll give a nice contrast with the other black parts and blue paint.

it will give the project an over all subduded sleeper look.. more like a daily driver then a hot rod..

looks good FF. i think i have that color in powder too! it will look good against the blue. black would be the other option, but you've already gotten some black parts.

The Alpine and the Tiger are the two models most people think of with Sunbeam (if anything). Alpine had a 1725 4cyl and the Tiger was a Shelby signature shoehorned Ford small block 260 in nearly the same car.
My car, Minx, was badged as a Hillman in most parts of the world. The Sunbeam badge may have been a Canadian deal (like Mercury Trucks).

Yes he did, but the AC Cobra was not the only car Shelby and company worked on. If they liked the body, the insides got modified. Kinda like somebody with a 62 truck, or maybe a 4 door 69 Tahoe...

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned that the Tiger was the official vehicle of Maxwell Smart! Hmm...maybe the Minx needs some extra features...like a machine gun that pops up through the hood, or a built-in shoe phone

The Shelby/AC Cobra was based on the AC Bristol. Carol Shelby had his hand in many vehicles...

f@rt makes smaller packaged engines and at times they fit better in another car , personaly i would go with a chevy
the old aluminium rover / buick V8 is pretty populair too in england as they way about the same as the cast iron line 4's there replacing
there even kits available for ford capri's.opel manta's and kadets and some of the small pickups
