Re: post up your camping pics
Yeah, where was that?
Not off road, not in a tent or camper, and not far away from civilization, I did a job on a 1925 cottage along the Severn River near were it enters the Chesapeake Bay and I camped out in my Suburban for four days. I used their crab traps and caught dinner while I worked all day. I did the cooking and eating on their little point of land. It was quiet and peaceful in the evening through the morning. All day the sounds were of people going out on boats, coming in, and swimming at the beach and docks next door

Re: post up your camping pics
I was up at my mom's in the mountains two weekends ago and I caped out. Nothing vehicle related. I hiked upstream along the Youghiogheny River and tent camped. It rained to beat he!! that night and the river was rushing and at a high level. I took two pictures in the morning before my battery died. It rained 3-4" that night

not just river dawgs...
swamps are good too... Rumble actually jumped up about 3 feet off the ground and finished pulling this sapling down... |

Re: post up your camping pics
thinking we should have called Roxiedawg Charcoal instead. she seems to have an affinity for burnt wood...
she kept dragging burned wood out of our fire pit, so i got another brick and closed the hole. did'nt stop her, over the top...got a piece of plywood over it now... this piece was still smoking, but she's pretty smart for 4 mos old, knew enough to take it to the river and put it out... |

Re: post up your camping pics
took the mutts out to Ruby Creek, some natives built a real cool trail threw the bush.
it's called restorative justice, built by wayward teens who got on the wrong side of the law. they did an awesome job, too bad it's way off the beaten path and hardly anyone knows it's there. thy made some cool carvings and they are scattered throughout the bush check out the neat, natural handrail Rumble, he's a real picture pig.. "hey did ya get me in the picture poppa?" |

Re: post up your camping pics
Rumble is not quite like dieseldawg was...
but i can see some of his traits in rumble Roxie has incredible balance, has no probs crossing logs or heights... whoops, spoke too soon...she was working her away across this and did a header...splashdown being at the river all day tires out a puppy... |

Re: post up your camping pics
could'nt resist, took a pic of wifey unloading her quad, wearing slip-ons, shorts and a halter top......she said if i ever showed it.....
so i edited it, quadding with slip ons.. nice little creek behind us for the dawgs...only we don't have them. was'nt worried about them taking off, we got leashes, was more worried about them getting stolen. but our fears were unfounded, we did'nt run into a single person, and felt bad about not bringing them...never again weather was not bad, alternated between sunny and cloudy |

Re: post up your camping pics
we had to get 3 schools done before this weekend, they don't want us working there when the kids come back on the 3rd, so been cranking off some huge hrs at work for the last 2 months (last 5 checks all been over 120 hrs). making good money, just never have any time to spend it or do anything....
took two extra days off with the long weekend to relax and regenerate... besides rebuilding my patio, took the dogs out the other day, and the quad today Roxie and Rumble hanging out- truck ridin' puppies took them out for a bush hike stump swamp must have hit the date button on the cam. got about a doz pics with it before i caught it |

Re: post up your camping pics
went up to Paleface creek, and then dipped down a bit into the North Cascades Nat Park in northern Washington state today.
laughed my arse off at this. prob some local fed up with tourists blasting threw at stupid speeds. it works though, on my way back there was 3 cars crawling along at about 20 looking... but keep looking, the only thing ahead is a rafting expedition place and the river- nuthin' else Paleface is up near Chilliwack lake |

Re: post up your camping pics
end of Chilliwack lake heading up Depot creek
big rock road was pretty sloppy... then it turned into a tree trail then a bush trail... and end of the road, for the quad anyways |
