Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!

Wow some nice ones showing up today! Was watching Gas Monkey yesterday and Richard got a 69 ford longbed and was saying when it comes to trucks, like cars with four doors... its not a hot rod unless its a short bed. Was a bit pissed about that.

yeah, but that's the same guy that bought an effin 80's ford FAIRLAINE to build a "drift" car....

he's only worried about flipping it anyways and SB's have a stronger market than LB's for sure.

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!

Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I just got this recently and I am in the process of finishing it. It is about 95% completed. The PO spent two years on the restoration and said it is actually two trucks put together.

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!

Thanks for all the nice comments! There are some beautiful trucks on here!
It has stock 16 inch style steelies with 265/75R16 Goodyear SR-A tires, the truck is sitting on new replacement springs-no lift-they just haven't started to sag yet. I have less than a thousand miles on her since the resto was completed.

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!

It was a 2-bolt 350 from the 79 era with a little cam & 202 smog heads. Had a stuck lifter, which in turn ate the cam, bad cam bearings, etc. Took the short block to the machine shop and it's already .60 over with some bore damage. So basically a huge paperweight. The previous owner still has the original numbers matching 350 so I'm working on getting my hands on that. The trans is a th400.

Re: Post pics of your Longbed Trucks!! No short stuffs allowed!!

Its 4 1/2" front, 2 1/2" Cpp spindles and 1 cut coil and 5" drop springs in the rear. I have CPP 3" drop springs for the front and CPP 2" drop blocks for the rear. So it will be 5 1/2" front and 7" rear.
