They are 16-in rims. The SPID tag indicates that the truck originally came with 16 in rims. The p.o. I bought the truck from got the truck with some aftermarket chrome rims, but was unable to find any original 16 in rims. He found some trailer rims which were, apparently, the same size as the originals, and that's what's on the truck now.

Man, there sure are a lot of nice trucks in this thread. My truck needs sooo much work...not sure if I should be inspired or embarrassed!

Here are a couple of photos I took from our Cruzin' Grand scene which runs each Friday evening during the summer months here in Escondido. On this particular evening the local C10 club was featured and while there were several beautiful Chevy trucks in attendance, these are the 4wd trucks that I saw.

The burnt orange Jimmy was spectacular, and I dig the big green long bed! Not sure if either of these trucks belongs to a member of this message board, but I just had to share.

Hey that Jimmy looks familiar! I've met the guy that owns that truck he's super cool, he said he's on the forum so i wouldn't be surprised to see him around.

Hey Luke, I am curious about your roll bar / cage set up. It looks as though you have a full cage in the cab which extends to the bed. I can't tell if it goes through the cab but it looks stout. That is one nice truck young man, love the green color. Hopefully I'll run into you in the SD area one day.

Hey, i appreciate it! The cage is welded to the frame and the pre-runner styled bars are welded to the cab of the truck. The cage connects to the cab but there are no drilled out holes that directly connect the cage to the bars. I'm in the process of doing a partial restoration to my truck because it threw a rod recently and i decided on cleaning up some the of body work. The Pre-runner bars are starting to crack the welds on the cab because of the lack of the frame being able to flex so i'm planning on putting a rubber separator inside of where the bolt and bar come together just to give it a little bit of wiggle room.

Here's our '72 shortbed 4x4. Prepping for an LS swap and some daily driver brake, suspension, and front end work, hoping to be done by the time March rolls around!

By the way, I've been seeing conflicting accounts on whether a stock-height 4x4 can be LS-swapped. Pacific Fab says that with their 4x4 crossmember and their low-height oil pan it will work great. Anyone have first-hand experience with non-lifted swaps?

Do you have new leaf springs, the 33's fit nice for stock height.

It has the original Leaf springs with new bushings all around. The tires are brand new so that might help a bit

It seems to sit fairly high for stock leaves to fit the 33's. Maybe had a good life without hauling too much to often. Looks like a nice project.

I have had this truck for almost 25 years now. My 1st vehicle. I have taken this baby through the ringer. She started off as my high school beater, and spent many days pounding the forest floor. I lifted it and dropped a junk yard 350 in it. Over the years I started to see how awesome this truck is and how rare a nice stepside is. I almost never see any. Everytime I take this truck out I have someone come to it. She has been on the backburner now for some time. Kids.. Well, now I am ready. She is getting a heart transplant in a few weeks to the motor shown below. Tranny is getting sent out, and I am installing a new wire harness. I will post a bunch of pics. This truck is solid in and out. All new fenders, bed, wood floor, rails, etc.. When I say new I mean I did this build 14 years ago. My father in law helped me with the body and paint. Came out okay. I will have it re-painted in the near future.

Nice setup on the Blazer, 6" lift, 36 Swampers and a 4spd, very nice all around. Plus holds lots of people and a good stereo sounds killer.

Thank you! The truck has a really powerful kenwood system in it which was preinstalled when I bought it. Got to crank it to hear anything over the hum of the tires!
