Few shots of the bodywork being done.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Here are a few shots of the fenders.

Pics 1-3 are the roughed in filler and primer, starting to take shape.

Pic 4. The passenger side after being sanded and primed again, this one is really close and almost ready for paint.

The fenders will be then blended and aged to hopefully match!

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Back with some few more shots.

The grey primer is 202 high build reduced to 4:1:1 and lays out super smooth and is my final primer.
This will be wet sanded with 600 and ready for paint.

Cab corner got some work done as well and has one more round before the grey goes on.

The viser....this was simply scrubbed with soapy water and scotch bright pad.

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Update:

Was able to get the front fenders sprayed with the orange.
It matches pretty good, will start the aging process next.

Looks great - fenders look like they came that way with the new buckets! Are you just spraying a flat? or base, no clear? I'm interested to see how this goes with the aging. Maybe a few brake fluid spills where there is no bondo to get the blistering!

Paint color looks great Mark!!!...
A friend just did his 66 patina wagon ...he had to color match a fender, the roof and a couple patch panels....I was amazed at how well it turned out...I'm also curious to see how you do yours..

Re: "Project Orangepeel" 52 A.D

Scott2 Thank You, I am really happy with the way the buckets came out.
The paint: I'm using is a single stage enamel I mix it 4:1 (color, reducer) and then added 25% flatting agent to the mix to get the same look of the old paint.

Aging: I have some ideas floating around my head and will do some experiments before I go 100% on it.

After you are done, would you mind posting a picture of that fender stand?
