Enough power for me to say "yeah this has the potential for some tickets", but I am saying to myself that my truck would eat this thing up. Now the big block sounds like it had a stock cam, nice smooth idle. After seeing my cam specs and knowin that I only have 1.94 heads is it possible that my hp's are up around 350?

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

soda it is then! haha... and i think you guys waited long enough. i didnt take a picture but i got the harmonic balancer on all the way lastnight before i went to bed. its funny everytime i work on this thing when i go inside for the day my hands are less and less dirty! guess my engines pretty clean anyways yesterday i got my gasket, oil and some black paint for the brackets. while the brackets were drying i put the oil pan gasket on and oil pan then i bolted the manifolds on with new gaskets. after that i bolted the AC brackets on. need to get 2 really long bolts for the center of the passenger exhuast manifold and 1 long one for the lower passenger water pump. and then i should be good to go!

That's what I feel like when I look at other people's builds and there engines and then I look it my tired 302 all dirty and leaky marking its territory everywhere I go.. So hopefully when I pop the good and you see my 327 "turbo fire" all cleaned up, everybody will have something to look at!

Don't know about the black magic... it should work better than those rubber strips. I am kicking my butt for dropping the 350 in my 95 with the rubber strips. It is POORING out oil! Ask anyone one here about the rubber strips.

Re: 1967 Chevy CST aka "the loud truck"

yes Rick do not use the rubber end gaskets. use a good quality silicone. Put a small dab under the side gaskets at the end and then a 1/4 inch bead and set the manifold.Let it cure at least overnight before you start it. So set the manifold before you put the motor in and it will be cured by the time you get it all hooked up. If you have questions, call me
