Re: My 57 Pro Street
Kim,
How it's going? Haven't seen you respond for a while. Did you have your back surgery? If so, I hope all went well and your pain is much less. Hope you don't mind asking, I know what it is to live with daily pain, it sucks..... Take care!

Going to be a slow recovery but a little improvement every day. Going to be at least another couple months before I can do any work on my truck. I've been keeping up on every ones build threads just not replying. Pain is pretty much gone other than some residual from my previous nerve damage. I notice it more right now as I'm not able to be as active as I was before which helped to keep my mind off of it. Should be back to my normal after I get into physical therapy in the next few weeks. Glad your surgery when't well and you keep getting better. That alone should keep your spirits high. Wanting to get back on the truck will speed things up.

Re: My 57 Pro Street
Finally was able to get some things done on the truck.
I needed to fab a trans cover so this is what i came up with. Pic #1 shows a frame work i came up with. #2 Lay out of the bends to be made. #3 As I don't have a brake I cut 1" slits an inch apart. #4 and #5 Clamped it to my bench and made the bends. Worked out pretty good. Kim |

Re: My 57 Pro Street
More of trans cover.
#1 and #2Tacked to my frame. #3 A frame that is welded to the truck floor with holes that I tapped so I can remove the cover (probably will never happen). #4 and #5 Sitting in place. Welded my slits up so it looks a little better. I'm using 1/4x20 button head screws to attach it. Kim |

Re: My 57 Pro Street
Was also able to get the cab very close to being put on the frame.
I just need to figure what color I want the fire wall to bve. Probably go with gloss black as I'm not ready to purchase the paint for the entire truck yet. Still need to do a final sanding and seal on it. Kim |

Re: My 57 Pro Street
The cab looks really straight, inside and out!
I like the transcover, suits the cab good, just as smooth. Glad seeing updates again Kim!!
