Here is another link for an exhaust kit. It came in a Dynomax box and was even cheaper then the Summit kit that included the exact same parts:

Thanks for the links Coulter and Aggie !!
The issue I ran into when ordering a radiator, is that some of these places dont ship to Alaska !! Go figure

I will certainly let you all know what I come up with tho....

********************************************************************************************

Hey all you guys that are dealing with mosquitos !!!!
Check out this product, because let me tell you, up here there are at least 3 distinct species of those buggers from the ones that are the size of small cockroachs that are the first to appear in April-May, to the black and white stripped ones we all know and loathe, to the mini fast movers we are suffering now up here !!
I have Citronella candles in my garage, and they will fly right past it.

This unit however will clear them out of the entire garage, even if we have one of the bay doors open !!

They are a tad pricey, but I SWEAR they are 100% worth it!

The Heart drawn on the wall is the first mosquito sighting and kill for 2013....you know, just for smiles

Just some intell from me to you guys !!

got one, and use it religiously during bow season they do work great. hopefully they will lay off in a little while, nothing more annoying than something buzzing in your ear or taking a hunk out of you arm

Amazing how even one mosquito can screw up your day.

So throwing whatever technology you have at it is a good idea.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

I had been thinking of upgrading my air compressor for some time, particularly after getting the blast cabinet.
Then PDXhall got his, and was saying how nice it was....so I revisited the idea.
I happen to mention it at work, and was told that one of my coworkers had a 60gal that he could not use in on post housing. It was 220v and the nearest plug in was on the second floor of the housing, so in his garage, unused it sat.
I talked to him about getting it, and mentioned my little Craftsman which was only 110v.

Long story short, we traded straight across (though I suspect he was being MORE than generous)
My old faithful Craftsman:

Ok, so on Bomps thread he made a door art photo...
I cannot compete directly with his skills, so I try to make up for it in imagination...
I also try to not let any challenge, real or perceived, go unanswered.
This is also a teaser, as I got my seat in finally !!
So here is my door art reply:

All in good fun buddy, I love this place !!
Orginal art work courtesy of Ta2Don, I just had to mod a copy of it a little for this little prank.
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July !!
Up here in the land of 24 hour daylight and raging forest fires, we dont get fireworks, so hrmmmmmmm.

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Looking Great Murph!
Gotta love those trades, I recently scored a '95 chrome grille for my 90 Silverado DD ( I feel like I was on the better end of that trade ) and he is also giving me his aftermarket hood off his 91, the truck that sported the 95 grille. It is a split cowl look with some fake Air Inlets in the front (very ugly) that I plan on welding up so it will have more of a traditional cowl look...
Sorry for rambling there, I like where you went with the door art...
Looking forward to the pix or video or both of the installed seat...

More to follow on that--------

First off, is this a good spray gun?
I picked it up at a local pawnshop for $75
I figured if the answer is no, then I could use it for primer or POR-15/Herculiner at the very least...

Thanks man! Like low elco said should be just fine...it's not the gun u have, it's how you use it I still have the first spray gun I ever bought, let a friend borrow it and left primer in it, I was in the middle of a nightmare job and accidentally left clear in it.....soaked it in thinner and cleaned it out good as new. I have graduated to better guns over time being i spray for a living. Keep it clean and do test panels till you feel comfy. Nice score on the compressor.

The 2 cars you are talking about are stored in Spokane, which is why they will get to go to the show. The Truck on the other hand is no where near being ready for a show, not to mention the 2,500 commute to get it there!
Any chance you will make it up? Should only be a 45 min flight out of Portland, or a 8-9hr drive (which is beautiful up the Columbia River gorge)... Just saying. If you do come up, we have 14 acres of sheer heaven you and your clan can camp on ..... Would be fun !!

I have to admit to sheer ignorance in regards to spray guns of mass destruction this size. An air brush, I can handle....

The door art was just goofing around with Bomp.
This build is not getting any of that.
We were sure trying to get out of Alaska this summer, but it seems big Army has put its foot down, and we are here until I either make the list for promotion, or I retire next August.
Ahhhhh well, at least the pay is good up here....

Thanks for the tips Jmo !!
I will no doubt take a few YouTube classes before I actually load the gun up and try to shoot anything !!
More than anything I want to play with high build/self leveling primer.... I almost drool to death when I see how clean some of our guys body panels and parts come out after using such stuff.
Then perhaps a semi-matte clear like BR3W CITY used....

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

So to further document my battery cradle mod, here is a mock up of how it all sat with the initial cuts done.
I decided that the battery itself rode a tad higher than I wanted, and in the end this conflict with the heater hoses convinced me to go with a side post battery as well.
As you can imagine, given the angle of the inner fender when mounted to the body, getting the battery to ride level took a lot of mounting, checking, adjusting, mounting, checking.... ect.

After checking the clearance for the tire, I decided I wanted to drop the cradle another 1.5"
Name: 22jun13 battery cradle mod (4).jpg

Since I was at it, I decided to Herculiner the bottom side of the inner fenders.

As well as the indside of the cradle itself....

Re: Not Another Rebuild Thread....

Here is the final for the cradle mod, with an old side post battery for mock up/display purposes.
I think this is going to suit me well.

Just for giggles, I painted my fan blade in old WWII P-51 Mustang propeller style. The intent is for it to match the fluroescent orange lettering on the fan shroud, and make it easier to see when the engine is running.
I have never been whacked by a running fan blade, but always marveled at how hard they are to see sometimes....

In this photo you can see that if I go with the side mount battery, I am going to want a polarity reversed set up.
I dont want my battery cables to cross each other.

Next up is how I added a PS hose port into my d-side inner fender:

McMurphy....that is outstanding. Looks great and looks fully functional. I like the additional room that it creates where the old mounting location is.
